Welcome to the Club, Chris. There's not much better than a fretless 5-string Alembic... I've had mine for right at 2 years now, and the experience just gets better all the time. Yours sounds like an interesting build. East-Meets-West is a fantastic choice of electronics for a fretless too. If you haven't already, you might consider upgrading to a 3-position Q-switch. It's another level of tweak-ability for a very small amount of $. Another option you might consider for an unlined fretless;
sidelines. They may have talked to you about them, and they just aren't your thing, but I love mine. Rather than tell you about them, here's a picture that does a better job describing how they look and work.
