RIP John Starling

A sad day for Bluegrass fans, and fans of the Seldom Scene everywhere, as one of the great voices is gone quiet for a while.  :'(

Such a shame... RIP John.

Big fan of both the Seldom Scene and John Starling. One of my favorite records has always been his late 70s solo LP "Long Time Gone", recorded with a impressive roster of amazing guest musicians. First heard "Turn You to Stone", the song in the video David posted, on that LP.  Lowell George (RIP) adds some tasty slide guitar to that album track and a couple of others. Always loved John's voice, he will be missed.
