I recently purchased Led Zepplin's 'How The West Was Won' 2-disk DVD box-set, and was completely blown away by it!  Definitely an awesome purchase, BTW!  But, my question is on disk two, what model of Alembic basses is John Paul Jones playing at Knebworth in '79?  Can't quite make them out...but definitely Alembics!

He uses his Series for most of the songs, but he busts out that 8 string for Achilles Last Stand.  I think that's right.  What's that inlay of on the body of the 8 string?

I've seen this as well and was thrilled to see a series in play by one of the best.

just got it yesterday, a belated Father's Day gift.  Achilles Last Stand has always been one of my fav Zep tracks. Saw them perform this in '80. Teeth rattling, monster show.
can't make out  the inlay....

If its the eight-string triple omega I remember him posing with in GP about a zillion years ago (Alembic ad?) I think the body inlay is his personal logo (as seen on some Zeppelin album covers...)
