Used Alembic with Build sheet

I've noticed a story or two that are similar to mine. The used Alembics we purchased included the build sheets and other original paperwork. I'm wondering how common it is to have the original build sheet with a second-(or third?)hand Alembic.

Of all the Alembics I have bought over the years, only about 1/4 of them have included the original build sheet or other papers.
It certainly is nice when the build sheet is included.

It seems that a good number of people file away the papers with their important documents and don't think to put them back in the case when they sell the instrument.

I've bought four Alembics during my life, one new and three used. Only one had the build sheet, and strange but true, not the new one..probabilly was lost by the music shop that sold me the bass. Anyway I was able to sold my Rogue without problem..

When I die and mine is sold to settle my estate  , the build sheet will be in the case. I've also registered it here so whoever is the lucky one can know most of what is to be known about this beautiful instrument. Maybe I'll get famous soon so the provenance will be that much richer.

Only two of five have their papers, one of which was new, but Mica found the info on two more. The build sheet on my first Alembic, 89P 5559 USA is still MIA. Not too much mystery in it though.
