As I understand it, you can not get a variable q control for use with Europa electronics; the variable q is an integral part of the series system, it's not just a matter of replacing the switch. Also as I understand it, you can use a three position q switch with Europa electronics but I believe it has to be installed at the factory. Again, I think there is more involved than just the replacement of a switch. I also have an Orion 5 string fretless with Europa electronics. I love the flexability of the Europa electronics; but my fretless technique needs a serious upgrade .
