Alembic now in Australia
« on: August 23, 2003, 10:57:00 PM »
Alembic has a new Australian representative - Green Square Music (www.greensquare.net)

Those of you with really long memories (i.e. a couple of months) will remember that is the name of my business - established to bring Acme to Australia. At the time I said my goal was to find the best of breed in all parts of the bass signal chain.

With Acme and Alembic I feel I am well on the way to that goal - and it is in no small part due to the interest, enthusiasm and knowledge of this discussion group. So thank you everyone. (Any comments on our web site will be gratefully received.)

Aussie Alembicians should drop me a line (david@greensquare.net) so that I can invite you to the official Australian launch. We will have at least 5 instruments on stage (probably not playing simultaneously!) spanning the range from the Excel to the mighty Spyder-8.

We have secured the services of Jeff Mallia to provide technical support. Jeff is one of Australia's finest luthiers and is a big Alembic fan. He will provide the kind of support that your Alembic deserves.

Great idea!
can you imagine: this guy wants to be surrounded by Alembics. He can't nuy them all but ...he CAN SELL them all.
So ...let's open a shop!
Why didnt I think of that?

It is a great idea isn't it? If you can't own them all, why not surround yourself with them and have them for at least a little while?

You guys have seen through my shallow scheme.

If customers ask really politely I might think about ordering them an instrument.

Seriously David, great idea. I wish you the best. I'm sure you'll do well. Great products tend to sell themselves. I applaud your vision.
Cheers,
John Paul
