Simple rig fades out after about 20 minutes.

series 1 bass, DS5R, F1X direct to board. Never a problem until this morning. Fades out..turn off wait a second turn on and good for maybe 10 minutes. Switched to sans amp for rest of morning and Bass operates fine. Tube dying? Thanks in advance.. John

It very well could be a tube. I had the same symptoms on a new Swart tube amp (guitar),
the amp would sound great for about 20 mins...then it would fizzle away.
 I'd definitely swap out the tube, and look for crispy resistors, etc. while it's open.
