I think what Stephen may have been referring to is that this section is intended to be used for the personal, not commercial sale of equipment. If you make your living purchasing and selling/trading instruments for a profit your listing is most appropriate for the "Seen on eBay, Craigslist, or elsewhere" section of the site. If you are selling your gear on a personal level for whatever reason, you have a right to post here.  Sometimes  when people are posting multiple pieces of equipment, it is difficult to discern the difference.

First off, I hope you are getting your medical issues resolved. I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble.

I think where I think it crosses a line is when we see people buying instruments from this very forum and then jacking up the price twofold. People who are flipping instruments are getting very close to being dealers, especially if they regularly have instruments for sale. The fretless is a case in point. It was listed on this site for less than $5k and you listed it for close to $10k. Given the situation of the seller, it seemed a little much to buy it at such a discount only to turn it right at such a high price, foreclosing the possibility of someone who was really looking to have a treasured axe to play at a good price getting a shot at it. Doing that kind of thing will bring scrutiny and draw comments. Do what you gotta do, but please take responsibility for what you are doing: trolling for underpriced instruments so you can flip them.

So get this, I have had two separate offers now for JUST the electronics.

Serious. Last month I had an offer gor $3k for just the s2 electronics.
When I turned the offer down, the guy immediately jumped his offer up to $3700.

I just couldn’t do that.

Just a few days ago, I got a second offer for just the electronics. This time for $2500.
Unreal!

I never would have expected that.
I can’t imagine pulling the electronics.
