PARTY!
« on: August 28, 2018, 01:37:36 PM »
Just in case I missed anyone in the Evite email that went out, Senior Management and I will be hosting the 4th Annual California NORML Fund Raiser this Sunday, September 2nd, at our home at the top of the East Bay Hills.  Everyone here at the club is invited.   Great people, great food (this year it is Thai), beer, soda, water, three bands including yours truly's "Stonetrout" and Wolf's (Sonicus') "The Dead Guise".   Come on out and enjoy the views and sounds.  We start at 1:00 p.m. and go as long as the weather and our spirits allow - if the weather allows, the bands will be followed by an open jam - we'll have a full backline.  Donations are strictly voluntary and there will be an auction of mostly cannabis-themed historical mementos and other interesting things.  Email me for directions.

Thanks for the invite; hoping someone takes a few pictures for those of us who can't make the trip.  Enjoy!

Sounds like fun! Wish I could come.
On a related note, I am currently in the process of lining up entertainment for an event DeKalb Area Progressives are hosting Oct 19-20 to get out the vote & meet the candidates we have who are committed to making Illinois a free state.  Anyone who wants to play for free (or, of course, just hang out & support the cause), let me know.

Sorry Peter, October 20th is our wedding anniversary.  Otherwise, I'd be there with bells on!

Just kicking back after spending the last seven hours turning my porch and yard into a stage and amphitheater.   Now I just have to go buy a buttload of ice late tonight, and hook up the mics and gaffer tape down the wires in the morning.   I'm not even thinking about Monday (tear-down day).   I already cancelled our regular Wednesday night rehearsal this week as the studio won't be back together until next weekend.  I'm getting too old for this shit!  (But I ain't gonna stop!  hehehehe).

So, things with our event have been kind of fluid (you'd almost it was being planned by a bunch of stoners or something....) and it's no longer Oct 20 at the campaign office, it's Oct 15 at a music venue (The House Café, DeKalb, IL).
So, if you were serious, Bill, I have empty bedrooms....
