Selling Special Basses and Need Help with Pics

Selling two very unusual basses.


One is 74-59.  It's a LS Series I.  Great shape.


The other is a Graphite Neck Fretless Eight String Series II with side LEDs, from 1982.  Also in great shape.


Both with blue box and HSC.  The case for 74-59 is pretty rough.  Strong enough to protect the bass but replacement metal buckles have been added because the original seals are broken but still attached.


I paid mid to high $4000s for each a little over 10 years ago.  Am thinking they are at least a little above that now.  Interested in the members' views on that.


Have discussed sales with a couple of individuals.  Will post briefly here before completing those discussions.  Of course, happy to keep them in the family if someone here wants them.


Have tried to post pics, but they are currently sitting at 3MB and I don't know how to get the resolution to what looks like the limit here (500KB?).

The graphite neck 8 string sold.  I'll leave it to the purchaser to post about it when he gets it.

I will need help with the pictures on 74-59, but have a few volunteers.  The bass is the same as when previously viewed, but you can't see too much of that magical piece.  They'll post soon.

Thanks to Jon for posting the pics.  I can take others, but have tried here to show both the unbelievably good condition of the bass, given its age, and the small numbers of blemishes.  Electronics work really well and the bass has an incredible feel when it plays.  I will be selling the bass.  My opinion is that the age (first two years) and condition put this in a different category, price-wise, from a lot of the other used SI's that I have had.  But, the market will determine that.  If anyone wants a private conversation, my email is in the first post.  I'm happy to discuss the bass publicly, as well.  If anyone wants more pictures posted or sent, let me know what you need, but be ready to help me with whatever Jon was able to do to post them.  I, and another member, were unable to use MS Paint to resize them down from 3MB.
