Huh - imagine that!
« on: July 12, 2018, 09:09:31 AM »
So, my oldest & his wife were told a few years ago that natural conception was not an option for them, so they moved from HI back to CA to be near her family while they tried in vitro (at $25K a pop with 25% success rate)  - and wham!  She's preggers - the old fashioned (and I assume more enjoyable) way.  The result is the little guy I posted the pic of with Granddude at 710 Ashbury a little while back; he's 9 months old & they tell us she's in the family way (as they used to say) again!
He called yesterday; they had her first ultrasound, and it seems I won't have 5 grandkids come February after all.

TWINS!!

As everyone knows, only hillbilly (though we do prefer Appalachian-American) grandparents get those names - so I leave them to my far-more-hillbilly-than-I big brother; we're Nona (her maiden name ending in a vowel & all) and Granddude (me being me and all).

This will indeed be a new on us, Bill - neither my family or Hers has any twins; the D-I-L, however, has an identical twin sister herself.
Thanks, all!

Peter

Actually the names aren't limited to Appalachia and are commonly used across the South for by those that aren't migrants from the northern latitudes.
