Question about a F2B for $45

I found an F2B online for $45. Its on Japan's bidding website and they say that Chnnel 1's treble is broken and Channel 2's volume is broken. Also they say it currently does not produce any sound so they are selling it as junk/parts. What I want to ask is, are these easy to fix? Or should I save my money?

It's a fairly simple circuit and you can lots of help around here.  Given that they usually sell for $500-750 used, you could likely wind up with a working F-2B for quite a bit less than that.

Not sure how they are aware of specific problems with the two channels if the preamp makes no sound? Before buying I would at least try to get a photo of the interior to get a sense of how intact the components are and to be able to visually check the circuit board for obvious damage.

I'd buy it. Even the chassis is worth that alone and it's a simple circuit. For a long time, I had it memorized, because I worked on so many Fender amps. Unless it's empty inside, it's not that hard to fix.

Indeed  , @ $45 if offered to me I would purchase it as well  , I agree . If if is in one of the old style chassis with the aluminum sides even better . The circuit should be easy to repair if need be , It is nice to have pictures just to see what one is getting exactly condition wise, I acquired an IN-2 a few years ago that took many hours to get into shape from a cosmetic viewpoint, I also needed to repair it electronically which actually took far less time and effort.

That looks to be an older version unit with the Aluminum side chassis in good cosmetic condition . I have seen four versions of this type . The first one having an incandescent pilot light with this chassis type and knobs as this one  . The unit in question here is the second type with an LED pilot light. I have seen two other versions  with black aluminum knobs and the fourth with sliver coloured aluminum knobs both of which also have the aluminum side chassis and LED pilot lights . The current Black model  model has an all  sheet metal chassis and smaller knobs and potentiometer type from what I have seen . I own two older aluminum chassis type units , One with the plastic knobs as on the unit in this link and one with the silver aluminum knobs.   Fully functional units such as the one seen in this auction appear from time to time at a wide range of prices from  approximately  $100- $800 or so USD .  The unit shown here is worth acquiring under various qualifications in my opinion .
