Question about an Alembic PF-6B
« on: June 13, 2018, 09:52:26 PM »
Hello, here is a photo of a 1980 Series 1 I am looking to buy. The seller says its a PF-6B. I would just like to know if it is original. Could anyone here tell from this photo? Thanks!

Looks the same as my 1980 down to the puke green cable. :-)

If one is a cyclist that's referred to as Bianchi or celeste green  ;D

Good call! With a bass, it's "hammer on". In cycling, it's "drop the hammer".

I am actually quite fond of my Celeste green Bianchi bicycles . I recently purchased a quart of the exact Celeste green to repaint my 1982 Bianchi Specialissima :)  . New decals and a clear coat and she will sing  four octaves again with her Campagnolo and Cinelli components . **Alembic relevance ; The best !  ( in my opinion )**

My first real racing bike was a Celeste green Bianchi (and I'm remembering this as I watch a delayed recording of today's Tour de France stage) with bar end shifters. Gave it to my son who went to Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA where he had it stolen 3 times over his four years there (what can I say, he was a philosophy major). I still have a soft spot for that color scheme.

I think the bass was a one of the best conditions of 80's era in Japan market.

Congrat's !

I ended up not getting this one. I instead purchased this one: http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=23860.0
