JK Lado's Basses Abound, eh? Oh, Really?

As a Canadian-American by birth,
Zut thinks that although there is a lot of Bernie Rico in this bass, along with a big hit of Rickenbacker 4001/4003 DNA, plus some obvious Mothershippin' inspiration, it's a pretty cool bass in terms of its construction, and it still
looks
kinda cool. Zut especially likes the color contrast of dark wings and lighter tones in the core, and the pseudo-Zon headstock, although, it is surely not a Zon. It looks like it has really smoothed and worn edges, especially the neck joint and the body joint. Zut has no clue how it sounds.

I had a Lacewood SF-2,
...good construction, really great woods, a bit hefty, good sound, but not spectacular.

I kind of like them based on the few examples I've seen and without having picked one up. The woodworking looks very well done indeed, and it looks exceedingly comfortable and very smooth to play. And to think I was looking around for an Alembic SF-2 when I found this.

Wow, Reverb has a few of these Lado SF-2s and a bunch of other models. It's interesting to me that eBay does not have more duplicate listings.
