I'm considering moving an essentially brand new 2017 Stanley Clark Retro Short Scale bass.  I purchased this on a whim after selling my Distillate, but have decided I don't need a third short scale (Stanley) bass... and my wife needs a new car.

An identical bass can be seen on Reverb (Bass Central): https://reverb.com/item/4212250-alembic-stanley-clarke-retro-model-2016-birdseye-maple

Only differences are my bass is 2017, theirs is 2016... and I don't have Stanley's signature on mine.  Everything else (continuous wood backplates, red LED's, etc.) is identical.  They're asking $8.999... for a club member I'll do $5800 plus you pay shipping/insurance.

This bass has literally only been played on a few times, so is essentially brand new - it's a 10 out of 10, the case smells brand new, documents are sealed, etc.

Email me with questions, or for more pictures, etc.

Cheers,

Bryan

Wow! The pickups look like white chocolate! And I love the retro horns. Sorry I can't take it off your hands, looks amazing

Yes!  I bought it from Joe.  He's a great guy, and lives a few hours away from me.

I can vouch for the newness and Bryan. We have been horse trading for a few years now. I acquired this bass by other horse trading, and sold to Bryan for other reasons as well. Great bass and great price! Cheers!

FYI - to sweeten the deal, I dropped price to $5800 in original message.

That's the most attractive Stanley Siggy I've ever seen. Wow!   8)

If only I could have one more...  ::)

Agreed, Edward... there is something compelling about "Blondie" - the natural look, vanilla pickups and oil finish... sweet!

My dilemma is the same... how many Alembics can one really own and play?

In a perfect world the answer is "All of them." That's how many Alembics we should have...
Hence my heavy investment in the lottery.

Mrs. Bill now seems to think that I have "enough of them".  Someone ought to talk to her for me...

Alembic aficionados crack me up... OK, so let's challenge the "I have enough of them" mentality.  Let me see if I can get someone in trouble with the Mrs by bringing "Blondie" into the home... price drop to $5700. :-)

Cheers,
Bryan

Make it an even $5K and will gladly upset my wife. LOL

That ain't gonna happen... way out of a reasonable price range... and it would definitely upset my wife! :-)

OK then I'll have my wife call your wife and hopefully they can work out a deal.

OK Alembic lovers - one more enticing offer on what is essentially a brand new Stanley.  $5500 firm.  Email me if you're interested.  If there are no takers, I may just add this beauty to my stable of horses and begin breaking her in.  Maybe you guys are right... 3 short scale (Stanley) basses is not too many. :-)

Cheers,
Bryan
