The controls on Epics, Excels and Orions are Volume, Pan, Bass and Treble. The pickups are MXY except for the Excel which has one MXY and a FatBoy in the bridge position. Earlier Excels only had one pickup, the FatBoy. There have of course been variations; Excels with two MXYs, two FatBoys, etc.
The bass and treble controls are asymmetrical, +6dB and -15dB, centered around 100Hz and 5KHz.
