It's interesting for sure, looks well thought out. I'm with Jazzyvee though... fun as it might be to mess with, I probably just wouldn't be able to use it onstage. But if you read, it seems like they plan to market it as kind of a special effect guitar rather than a main ax. I dunno... could be a fun thing for a couple tunes.
I am only guessing they will appeal wildly to whom they appeal, and be largely bypassed by the bigger group.
