Hello from Taiwan

Hello, I actually joined the Alembic Club a couple of months ago and never got around to introducing myself.

I am currently working as a full time session musician here playing for various pop artists. My current main gigging basses are my Sandberg VM4 "rusty" and a Zon Sonus Custom 5 string. I have been interested in getting an Alembic for quite a while because these basses always had a mystique feel to me, like a unicorn if you will. I am currently looking into getting a 1980's Series 1 standard point (or 2 if one pops up and the price is right for me), or a Mark King Signature.

I will definetly post pictures and ask questions when I do acquire my first alembic.

Welcome to the camp, I checked out your YouTube page - very nice!  You also already have two very nice basses, but trust and believe, a properly setup Alembic nearly plays itself and the tonal variations that it provides may cause your other basses to gather dust.

Continue your quest and you will be greatly rewarded.

Yes! This is exactly the one I was looking at, but I am watching this one on Digimart which has a cheaper selling point there.

Thanks a lot for your concern bigredbass and pauldo. I live in Taipei and we were not effected by the earthquake as much. I had no idea that the earthquake we had had international coverage since we get quite alot of earthquakes here.
