Snowing here today. We left one car down at the bottom of the driveway.  Remains to be seen how much ice were getting along with the snow.

Not snowing here yet, but supposed to this evening and most of the night. I ran a couple completed guitars into town to the store today and picked up a couple to be worked on next week. I broke up some ice between the house and the shop. (with an 8 lb maul!) I don't plan on going back out until Monday or Tuesday. At least not in a vehicle... I may go out and walk around in the snow.   :)

Anything but ice. Or wind. 🤬

Yea, it's been extremely cold out here, too.  The other night it got down to 48 degrees!  (And people wonder why I left New York right out of high school - hehehehe).

Heat wave in IL today; got up to 27°, not going lower than 18° tonight.  Beautiful winter day!
Just a dusting of snow.

And they're predicting a degree warmer tomorrow.

Looks like we'll end up with mostly ice.  Hoping to get out Sunday and spread salt on the driveway and do some shovel work - and hope I don't slip, fall, and break something.

Fireplace/ wood stove ash works very well for providing traction on ice.   Be safe.

Do be careful, this stuff is slick. The melt/refreeze here has been going on all week. It snowed another 3-4" last night and still coming down this morning. I am very glad to not be working out in it anymore but strangely I feel a little guilty... like I ought to be out there doing something. I snapped a picture coming in from the shop last night, and the pathway is completely covered again today.

I did go for a walk yesterday, and caught this pileated woodpecker tryin' to make a livin'... it's not easy getting a picture of these guys. (they don't sit still for long, and they don't like being watched)

It's a snowy day in Mason's Cove. I made a couple trips back to the house for coffee refills, cleaned off the porch to the Shop up here, and... that's about it. So far, about 4" of Connecticut Confetti. The Devil's Dandruff. New England Clam Powder. New Hampshire Cocaine.

Oh well, back to fixin' geetars...
