On vacation In Buena Vista, Virginia... the fiddler's convention campground is in the front yard of the old Eli Paxton House. I took a little stroll down a U.S. Army Corps of Eng. flood control easement to see what there was to see. Mostly a fancy gully and some sluice gates. Interesting, but not exactly picturesque. The Buena Vista skyline however, is quite nice.

Yeah, that's nice. This thread needed a bump. I haven't taken many scenic pictures at all lately.

*Here was one from a late-Summer gig with New River Bound, at a sunflower festival.

Sky was ablaze in all directions this morning - this was looking south.

Ooooh. That was a wild one. Cold, blustery day here. I'm basically glued-out of stuff to do... I'd go for a walk and take some pictures if not for the wind.

I wasn't fast enough to catch anything more than this glimpse, but I saw an otter swimming in one of my neighbors farm ponds two days ago. Never seen one in 19 years out here.
