Definitely looks cold. 😮

I've been cold for a couple-three days now. This immoderate weather pattern revealed some weaknesses in the utility infrastructure. But I did get a good look at the whole Valley this morning when checking this remote tank site waaaay up on a mountainside. (as you can see, the tank is a little bit low... the pump station that feeds it was without power for a couple days, and the pipes froze solid without any heat in the building... we got everything warmed up and running on a generator this afternoon.)

*I put this particular tank, a 75,000 gallon bolted steel, glass-lined one, into service in 1998, shortly after relocating back home from Nashville. I can remember us digging out the driveway up here, and what a horrendously dangerous operation that was. It was just a matter of; that's where the stupid utility easement was

Where I live, people would appreciate the view of the cistern more than the view of the valley. That is some tank.

Oh, I like that!

I ain't seen much remarkable lately. All my time's been spent working on work-work, or shop-work. I heard the peeper frogs the other night though, so Spring can't be too long... I might have to climb up the Mountain again this year.
