Ironically, under flood watch this week, but not especially.

I think you probably mean a different Fort Lewis... maybe in the Pacific Northwest? The one here was decommissioned sometime following the French & Indian War. B.Gen. Andrew Lewis had a home in nearby, Salem, The mountain was re-named for it. (so I hear... I'm from North Carolina)

Wallace Island, B.C.  If you look closely, you can see a hobbit.

Looks more like a hippie than a hobbit.

Sun comes up on another day at the Boones Mill Water Treatment Plant, Franklin County, Virginia. I like to walk up the hill with a cup of coffee for these.

Time to get on the route... loooong day coming.  :P

Spectacular shots, Greg - especially the top one!

The top one was a really strange occurrence. I was looking East at sundown. The Sun was behind me, yet it was casting those weird rays like that, making the clouds look backlit. The peachy-looking formation was about thirty minutes later, looking Southwest.

Sometimes you just have to be in the right place. Having a camera in the phone is a great idea!
