Nice day for some Parkway sight-seein'... we did too, Dave.  ;)

Made a quick stop at the Roanoke landmark, Mill Mountain Star. Saw a nice winery. Sunset on the lake. Hid in the cool woods the hottest part of the day.

For our friends elsewhere, there is a roadway... the Blue Ridge Parkway, you could drive from my place to Dave's on it if you had a couple days to spare. It winds a long, scenic path from Afton Mountain in Central Virginia along the Blue Ridge down to Western North Carolina. It's quite a trip.

My occupation calls for some mighty early wake-up calls... but there's something to be said for being at the right place at the right moment... the Sun rises behind you on Summit Ridge, and sometimes the Moon sets about the same time over the opposite horizon. You gotta' go early though.

The full moon was beautiful here last night, back-lighting some clouds, as a cold front moved in clearing out some of the excessive humidity, resulting in a wonderful day today.

That is just beautiful, Greg (though I prefer to see that sort of thing at the end of my day......)
