Paul , Yes she does . She makes a loud chirp sound when she does a " Fly in" to visit ;like "hello I am here now :) ". She also makes other soft sounds when she knows that I am in the vicinity . She actually seems to enjoy our time together . Out of a group of about 8 birds she seems to trust me the most . She is a friend whom I love :) .

Paul (who wants to apologize to Lucie for not catching the autocorrect error in his previous post)

(and also finds relationships with non-human’s to be fulfilling on a profoundly deep level)

I agree Paul , I have been working on establishing a relationship with these Local Crows for years it seems . I have also had close encounters with Ravens whom have been less standoffish  .The Ravens have been in general more quickly trusting , Crows seem more intensely scrutinising and careful . I do not have very many Local  Ravens as my Crows seem to be  territorial so I have to take a short drive to visit the Ravens whom I also  love ! . Upon my arrival they always seem immediately interested and congenial . Of course I am always the purveyor of treats for them . :)

They are fascinating creatures. Uncannily intelligent, and playful. (I told you about them pulling on all the wiper blades, right?)

Here's a rosy sunset that happened while I was on my evening walk through upper Masons Cove a couple nights ago.

Blue heron. They hang around our ponds and sit in our trees. Adriaaan, where do you live!?

A city so nice it's the subject of a 2002 US federal law, aka the Hague Invasion Act.

Rare snowfall here in the Gulf Islands. Came with its own power failure - but worth it (I think - we’ll see how long the power is out...)
