Gregory; your pictures show the fall colors better than mine.

Peter; admittedly, the parkway could stand have some guardrails.  If you're the driver, you kinda need to pay attention to the road, while the passengers get to enjoy the view.

That eastern mountain range sure is purty.

Thanks for the canine compliments, they are a good pack.  Someday I will wrangle our 3 cats together for a pic...  well probably not.  Woody and Zinnia snuggle on the regular but Sweetie is kinda fussy about who she hangs with.   :o

The scene out the back door a little while ago.

Dave
Do you heat with wood and selectively harvest from the forest around you?  It is beautiful.

All of our 'scenery' has turned white under 4+ inches of that cold, frozen precipitation stuff that I am kinda tired of after 56 years living with it.   :-\

Paul (who should stop complaining and throw an application to the Dandrige, TN sister plant and relocate further south)

Yes, we have a wood stove to supplement the propane furnace.  Hasn't snowed here yet this season, but it's certainly going to be cold enough tonight.

Wonderful picture Rob!  I couple nights ago I stayed up late planning a trip to the North Carolina coast.  Your picture speaks to that timeless allure.

Thanks, Paul and David, I love the coast in any weather!  :)

I have stood on coasts in Virginia, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Florida, California, Hawai'i, Alaska, and Jamaica, and I have loved every one of them (though with Florida, only if I didn't look behind me and remember I was in Florida.....)

It's not that cold here in Minnesota but we finally got some early snow which my Bernese Mountain Dog loves!  Heading to Nordic Ski Practice to coach my high school ski teams in a couple of hours and its a real gift to have the white covering this early and not have to drive 5+ hours to the Upper Peninsula of MI to ski.

My Golden used to do that!  Just sit in a blizzard & smile.  Love it (and that's a right purdy pup you got there!)
