polishing logo

Hi All, I am familiar with Mica's post concerning removing logos in order to polish/refinish the headstock.  My question, though, concerns the best way to polish a brass logo.  I assume this can be done without removing it, which I am loathe to attempt.  Will Flitz brass polish damage the glossy headstock finish?  Thanks.

For the logo, I use Flitz, a Q-tip, microfibre cloth, and proceed carefully.

Same for me. Those little curls on the cloud grab the cloth easily so don't use a lot of force.

If you do get some excess polish in the little nooks, a toothpick and some damp cloth will get it out. 

I've not tried it on my Alembic logos, but there's a product called 'Never-Dull' for polishing silver etc... it's like cotton fibers that already has the polish in it... you just pull a little bundle off at a time... I wonder how it would work?

Never Dull actually has worked quite well for me. I don't have to worry about spillage or putting on too much and then spending a ton of time picking it out of all those tiny nooks and crannies.

I'm a fan on for Connoisseur polishing cloths. Just don't let the edge slip under the tippy top of the cloud. Go slow and you'll be fine:

You can get these anywhere like Target.

I imagine the Flitz liquid would be a better choice than the paste for polishing the logo. Applied lightly with a q-tip it shouldn't leave much residue to wipe off. Polishing cloths are pretty convenient, too. Whatever method just go slowly.
