Really cool, just curious. Those Q-switches, are they 2 or 3 position switches (off and two postions for the amount of boost/cut.)
I love the dark wood cores. It is really a state of art bass. Buy it quick, I'm coming.....

Eugen - What's on the headstock in amongst the tuners?

Mattheus - 2 position Q:  off and +9dB (I think).  They are great basses (as all Alembics are).  I've got 008.

That bass looks really great ! congratulations Eugen !

FYI : The 2 position q-switches can be replaced if you want. I had a EVH signature with 2 position Q switches and one EVH signature with 3 position Q switches. Last year I ordered 3 positions Q switches for the first one, and Edwin Van Huik replaced them for me. So, it can be done and it is not that expensive.

Cheers

hey guys,
I am thinking about getting a 20th anniversary what is the difference in the electronics as compared to my Sc deluxe that I would be trading? Or any other special features.
Thanks,
-Ed

Eugen,

The body woods are Quilted Maple top and back, Maple core, Purpleheart accent laminates.

The neck woods are Maple and Purpleheart with Ebony fingerboard.

Ed,

The 20th Anniversary electronics are similar in that there is a separate filter (and preamp) for each pickup. The 20th Anniversary uses 2 individual volume controls instead of the Signature's volume and blend controls. 20th Ann adds the stereo/mono output switch.

Overall, I've found the Signature electronics to sound slightly more midrangey compared to the 20th Ann. Some people find 2 volumes makes more sense than the vol/blend of the Sigs. It just depends on what you're used to I suppose.

Also the different scales and woods of the two basses will make an impact on the tone.

Hi Stefan,

I didn't realize it was you selling his series I shortscale. I've placed some bids but got outbid while I was away. Have fun with your new bass.
It's a beauty

Brother Eugen,

so now you have some tattoos to add to your body. You'll need 3 now no???
Just a good advice: don't end up like good brother Rami when you are planning to do this.
AUGH!!!!!! ;-)
