Red Rocks, 1992 - Legend of a Mind (Timothy Leary)

The Moody Blues made an impression on me when I was in high school (a long, long time ago).  Their sound and songs seemed to me quite unique; and their music has stood the test of time.  A friend of mine here in Asheville plays in a Moody Blues tribute band, and folks here are very appreciative of the opportunity to hear these songs again.

My older brother (before he went hardcore redneck & decided that there were 2 types of music; country & western) had all their albums from Go Now* through Seventh Sojourn (which was their 8th album, BTW); I spent much teen-age time lying on the floor with the pull-apart portable 8-track player set by my ears like headphones cranking the Moodies.

*For our friends across the water, that was the US version of The Magnificent Moodies.

Listened to Long Distance Voyager as I drifted to sleep last night. Thinking fondly of you, Ray!
