Happy New Year; 2018

2017 was a very good year for me, musically. Like the Jedi Master, Yoda once said, "Always have gig you will, if Bass Player you are." or something like that. Tonight is the 30th anniversary of my first paying job playing bass. (made $34 playing a New Year's party)

Having been in more than a few bad situations with gigs over the years, I feel incredibly fortunate at this moment to be playing music with a group of people whose company I genuinely enjoy. We seem to feed off each other's musicality on stage and yet still pal around off stage. I'm playing the best music of my career, getting to play more than ever, even making a little money doing it... and thanks to Alembic, doing it on the finest bass guitars ever made.

Bring on 2018.

Happy 2018 to everyone! My 2017 was also a year of musical growth, and I found myself surrounded by most excellent musicians and people, which helped me "going up a notch" on my journey through Music, and through Life. I wish, for me and for everyone, that 2018 brings more of that growth, much joy, and a lot of opportunities to become better musicians, but above all, better human beings. Cheers!
