I am considering selling my 81 Series 1 standard point bass. In fact, I almost traded it away recently but it didn't work out. It's a great bass, but I can't handle the weight due to my back issues. Therefore, it's not getting the play that it deserves. It weighs approximately 10.5 pounds, so if your back is healthy it's quite manageable. It also balances well. I've tried numerous straps, and none have worked for me. Playing a 9 pound Fender Jazz is sometimes painful for me during a four hour gig.

It hasn't created any problems with functionality, nor do I think it's been modified. It comes with the five pin cable, power supply, and two cases. I've never had any issues with electronic interference or noise.
I would like to get $4200 for this instrument. I am also open to trades plus cash which involve other Alembics such as Essences, Rogues, Europas, or maybe other Alembics because I haven't thought of. Trying to go lighter and more ergonomic. Would like to keep weight under 9.5 lbs. I am also interested in F2Bs and SF-2s.
Here's where I limit my possibilities: I live in Maryland and would like to make a deal with someone I could meet in person. I am not really wanting to ship it as I have no experience doing that.
Please forgive these long-winded ramblings of someone who's had sinobronchitis for three weeks now. Just thought I would put this out there to see if anyone is interested.
