The shot with the pups in a badly routed plywood body is
sorta Zen .

Contacted the seller, and these are currently in transit to make their new home in my favourite P-bass. I'm really excited to give them a go.

Howdy, Neighbor!  Congrats on a good deal.  I recently picked up a similar set off of reverb that I'm installing in a new build.  One thing you might consider is the add a Q switch.  That's what I'll be doing.

Score! I've got Activators in two Fenders - love them! I agree with Bill, the Q-switch is an essential addition, though you can still have a good time without it. Kind of depends how much tweaking you intend to do, either mid-song or between songs.

Thanks, they looked to be in quite good condition for the price. I can't wait for them to arrive, have been checking the tracking updates regularly.

I'll look into the possible future addition of a Q-switch, the advice is much appreciated.
