Some Ebay Series I listings
« on: September 10, 2017, 06:44:21 PM »
Saw this Series I on Ebay that has been up for some time.  If what the seller claims is true and it comes with cord and DS-5 it's a lot better deal than a lot of the other Series basses (and several non-Series basses) on Ebay at the moment.

In relation to the Copy discussion on another thread, I also saw this offering from our friend the Boggieman:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Boogieman-bass-not-Alembic-series-1-mint-condition-32-inch-scale-must-see/332368066457?trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D41376%26meid%3D643b9ec8d9f44d1a8bbfa04affd681ab%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D152685169197&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

Reading the Q & A section of the listing he states the following:

Hello Joe, yes, you can come and try out the bass. As far as how it would compare to the Alembic Series , I'll tell you this...... I have currently in my listings the best , and I repeat, " the best" Alembic Series 1 instrument I have ever owned or seen and I will let to compare it with the Boogieman and here is my pledge ......If you think the Boogieman is not better then the Alembic , I WILL sell you the Alembic for the price of he Boogieman............How is that ?..........near mint 1977 Alembic Series 1 for $ 3800 ??? Cheers !

Interesting given that the bass to which I think he refers has been up on Ebay for some tome at a VERY high price.

I also saw this, but didn't want to stir the pot by posting it! It's a funny deal, huh...
