The First Belgian Alembic meeting ...
« on: December 03, 2003, 12:22:35 AM »
We started very small:   20 strings,  30 fingers,   4 Alembics,   3 fanatic bass players,  13 speakers,   1 fine bottle of Alsace Gewurztraminer   and some strong Italian espresso?  Here are the pics form our first Belgian meeting of Alembic fans on the second of december, it won't take long for Paul TBO to write down some beautiful proza about the evening :-)  Enjoy !

That must have been paradise! I hope you have good contacts with your neighbours.... With all those amps, there must have been a little earthquake. Very nice collection of basses, I still like that EeeveeeeHuuuu bass. It has a very 'female' touch....

That looks like a good time for sure.  What a room full of gear!  The EVH is very nice.  I've not seen/heard one of those in person.  You even had one of those metronome things.

Ahem ...
Once it was that 3 fierce riders of the low frequencies set to Hofstade ...huh ....no ....

For one or another reason that doesn't sound appropriate ...that Hofstade.

Well what can I say?

Spyder Ollie ...I'm sorry ...I forget about it. Arriving at Jan (Brother Jan the River one) 's place I recalled  ^&^&^*$-))>

David,

Can I join? Can I, can I? I know I'm in Texas, but the last name is Moore. Come to think of it, maybe you're in my town?

To the ABC: Way to go! Do it again and get the rest of the AE(uropean)C involved!

That's the plan Mike, that' s the plan.
Now it were only 3 players, playing Alembic + having a computer + internet + speaking/writing US lingo + with a mind open to other people and players + a kind of show-off style to be in this club (well ...a tiny bit ...no?? ...just a eeny-teeny-weeny bit???)
Anyway ...let it grow ...let it grow

How about a World Chapter meeting?  I would suggest Florida as a central location.

Paul TBO,
you know the classic WHO line: you are forgiven...
Don?t mind about this.
I hope that we will find a fitting date soon so that we all can meet again...
And as for the Frankfurt Music Fair:
who will come to there so that we can meet?
The Frankfurt Music Fair will be from Wednesday 31st of March 2004 to Saturday April 3rd 2004.
I think I will be there all the time; so let?s meet there!!

Well guys, what can I say? Bass nirvana! The EVH is v cool, but Bonnie and Marilyn (I take it Jan settled on Marilyn then?).....wow. Looks like you had a fun time! Just one thing; how on earth am I supposed to decide on whether to have walnut or maple facings after seeing those 2 incredible basses together? Just when I thought I had it sorted....!

All the best
Shaun
