Anniversary(2004) upgrade to Series I....possible?

Hey brothers and sisters of the forum. I just picked up a wonderful Anniversary bass from Moongerm. Brian was telling me everything is routed out for the upgrade. Just wondering if any of you have done this. I am guessing a call into the mothership is in order. Just looking for input...worth it....cost? How long the bass may be gone for etc ? Amazing bass.....just under 9 lbs and 32" scale....heaven. I do have an Sf-2....but Series I pickups and electronics do take it to another level.

I LOVE purple on mahogany. I once saw a trio of Hamer guitars finished similarly, but with cream binding. When I win the lottery, my dream Exploiter will look like that.

Wow Craig, you surely have an eye for the cool ones. 

That looks like an EVH Sig. body... my second-favorite of them all, right after the Standard Omega. I'd always assumed it was a variation on a Distillate pattern. I love the way the relief cut parallels the shape of the bird tailpiece. So subtle. 

*anxious to see what Mica turns up on this one... for some reason, I thought the Edwin Van Huiks were a thicker body too. But then, I got hit over the head a lot when I was a kid.

While I do dig this bass, I am considering the possibility of selling this and buying a Series I ...being that is what I have been looking fir for quite sometime.
Might be more economical to do so.

Bassman - As you can probably imagine, the cost of a new set of Series electronics will be a big number.  If you do a conversion, that will leave you with another expensive set of electronics that you won't be able to utilize.  I think that might be worth it if the acoustic sound or feel of this bass is extraordinary to you, but it may make more sense to keep an eye open for a Series and enjoy this bass as it is until then.  That may very well lead to better utilization of the total dollars. 

And of course, the best solution is to have two Alembics, but that's a different discussion!
