Hi All,

I purchased this 1992 Elan 4 from a retail shop this past December -- it is an amazing bass, but I have decided to keep searching for that special short scale.  This bass is in excellent shape - the only substantial blemish is a small scratch ON THE BACK of the headstock (see final photo).  Comes with a well-padded Levy gig bag that is quite beat up but gets the job done nevertheless.

The photos are from my purchase in December.  Condition is as depicted in photos -- except that I have restrung the bass with Alembic strings.

Asking $2350 shipping to continental US or $2300 face-to-face on Long Island or NY metro area.  Will entertain trade offers (with cash from me, as appropriate) for an Alembic short scale.

If you don't mind me asking. Could you please run through the selling and shipping process you went through. I have an 85 Series 1, I am wanting to list. Did you ship, with who, cost, did you insure, how was payment made to insure security for you and buyer. I have sold on ebay before but never anything this expensive. Any advice would be appreciated!

I certainly don't mind you asking but I can't be of much help -- I sold locally to a friend of a friend, so no shipping, etc.  Maybe somebody else here can be more helpful.
