Interesting Oasis on Reverb

You don't see Oasis instruments come up too often.  This one is unlike any other Gary Cooper guitar I've seen before.

Bill, just looking at the pictures, this guitar must have some kind of mortise/tenon joint, or maybe even a traditional dovetail neck joint.

Not sure if that's what you meant, but seems to me, that would be quite unusual for a solid-body electric.

Gregory, all but one of the other Oasis instruments I've seen over the years were double cutaway with obvious Alembic DNA.  This one looks more like a Les Paul crossed with a Godin.  Of course, any Gary Cooper/Oasis is unusual.  He didn't build all that many before a tragically young death.

Sure does, now that you mention it... I'd forgotten those LP-inspired Godin guitars. (actually had one of the SD series 5-string basses for a while)

I was just fascinated at the neck joint. Still not sure exactly what I'm looking at, but it appears to be some kind of a fitted glue joint. He was an obviously talented builder.
