Looking for Alembic fretless
« on: July 21, 2017, 05:41:37 AM »
Officially in the market for a 4 or 5 string fretless. Alembic of course. Strongly prefer Series, Signature, or Europa and fret markings.

Putting my 6 string maple Europa on the block.  It's a great bass but for someone with larger hands than me as my reach doesn't quite let me make maximal use of having all those notes.  PM me if interested in sale or trade for fretless.

I wish you would snag the fretless Distillate on Reverb, so I can stop thinking about it!  ;D

Still looking for that fretless hoping to find a 4 or 5er Series 1, Signature, or Europa.  Half thinking about asking for a fretted to fretless conversion when I send my Standard point Series 1 back to the mothership (which I've been meaning to do for awhile). However, the Standard point which has a far greater body mass than the SC has a different, distinctive sound than my Series 1 SC shorty so I'm a bit reluctant to give her up to fretless at this point.

I've got a few fretted potential trade possibilities (6-string Maple Europa; 4-string SC Standard Burl Maple with blackened hardware) if anyone is interested but also interested in straight up purchase.

Still traveling a lot (Isarael, Armenia, Denmark, Czech Republic, and Norway) over the last 8-weeks and now need to head to Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Russia in October.  So if anyone spies anything like I'm looking for, a heads-up would be greatly appreciated since I'm sometimes off the grid if in rural areas.

Thanks for the suggestions

I've checked on the Essence. It's interesting but its a long scale. I'm really wanting to stick to a medium or shorty.

I love the SC! It's spectacular looking, but quite a bit outside of my price range for the moment since I'm sending my Stanard point Series one in for a upgrade as soon as I can get it shipped.

Keep the suggestions coming...Im certain that there's a fretless Alembic out there with my name on it.
