Alembic Essence I am looking at, trying to decide between two of them. Any info on the bass would help with my decision. Thanks!

Do you have any pictures of the basses, we may be able to give you some help before Mica from alembic manages to get the record of the bass on to the forum.

Most specifically, I know the bass was refinished and it looks like whoever did it did a damn good job. If it was done by Alembic that would make me feel way better about it though. Also, it has a few nicks by the bridge from shipping damage.
It is the Essence 6 that was posted for sale on this forum recently with a few other Alembics.

It's the one I have listed in Reverb and listed with the club earlier. I just dropped the price for the weekend.

This has a lookup in February here.

The details are cut and pasted as:
serial number: 00K12399
model name: Essence
model number:KLB6
top: California Walnut
accent: Maple pinstripe
body: Mahogany
neck: 5-piece Maple with 4 Walnut pinstripes
scale: 34" long
fingerboard: Ebony
side markers: bronze dots
pickups: Alembic MXY56
controls: "Essence" volume, pan, filter, mono output
originally made for: Manny's Music, NY
birthday: June 14, 2000

There is some discussion about the refinishing, which I do not believe was done here.
