Temping, but IMHO i think its a bit overpriced and if I'm going to invest in a fretless I'm going to hold out for a Series I (Once you go Series you can never go back or its at least a lot harder to do so).

I agree, a little on the high side for a standard Distillate model Brian, even one this clean.

This one has a lot of unusual features though, which probably narrows the appeal to a larger group, but makes it very attractive to that little slice looking for exactly that.

I've been trying for a little while to build a stash for a vintage Series I, but this one is tickling me. I mean... c'mon man... a 32" scale, fretless version of my Distillate, with a modified Standard Point body... that just ain't playin' fair!  ::)

I've been thinking all afternoon about what I could part with to make up the difference. (like you guys never did anything like that!)  ;D

oooohh...that's a cool one.

I'm rooting for ya Ed, that one would look right in your bass stall.
(but then that old series one that needs TLC will pop up  :o )
...more power to ya.

I think the saying here goes- "there will always be another..."

After a few hours casting about, and scheming, I spent yesterday evening playing my Custom fretless, which functions essentially as a 5-string fretless Distillate. Chain-Links is my dream bass, built especially for me, and I really have no need for this one.

Vintage Series I is in the future... priorities bite sometimes. ;)

Greg,
I wasn't thinking of selling it, but if you are interested in 76-265 email me and maybe we could work something out.
