There are some pictures here: http://club.alembic.com/Images/411/1966.html
Looks like a Series 2.

Oh yeah, and don't think you can sneak into the club and not get a warm welcome. So, welcome! If you play an Alembic, we'd love to see pictures.

He's got a Series I long scale and a Series II short scale. I think he sometimes plays Stanley's personal SC deluxe.

I think you are right about the SC Deluxe, Mica.  When I saw Stanley and Armand in Detroit earlier in the year, Armand played an SC Deluxe for part of the concert while Stanley was playing an upright.

This week, the local PBS outlet was running their annual braodcast of this year's Newport Jazz Festival.  Stanley was on this, playing the bass he was wearing on the cover of BASS PLAYER this year and ASL was playing a black MusicMan that looked really beat up.

I've never seen the Newport Jazz Festival on PBS.  Perhaps it's something your local PBS station shows and my local PBS stations decide to skip.

bigred,

ASL played the Music Man at the concert in Detroit, too.  But the one he played in Detroit was a beat up chocolate brown Sabre.  It was a ringer for the one I owned for 20 plus years.
