How many positions have the Q switch that you sell separetly?

Do you offer the CVQ ?

And the same for the master volumen pot ?

Joe; the Q switch works in junction with the filter control. Essence electronics have a filter but not a Q switch; the Q is always on. You can order a two position Q switch as a DIY project which will give you the option of turning the Q off. As I understand it, Alembic will send you the switch and instructions for the installation. The installation is not a simple plug and play, there is the matter of replacing and soldering a capacitor as well. The boost on a two position Q switch is 8 db. The three position switch is apparently a more complex installation; and I'm thinking the replacement of resisters and capacitors may vary depending on the existing electronics. It is generally recommended as an in-shop upgrade; there is not a DIY kit with instructions. The boost on the three position switch is 6 and 9 db. The CVQ control is integrated into the Series II electronics package and is thus not available as an upgrade. I don't know the answer to your question about the master volume pot. You may want to specify whether you are asking about adding a master volume to a new custom order bass or as an upgrade to an existing bass.

The standard Q switch is 2-position (0&8dB boost). The instruments with a filter but without a Q switch are preset to the 8dB boost. Adding the switch allows for the flat filter response.

CVQ is only for Series II. I sold one once on a wild custom 8-string Spoiler with tree of Life inlay. It's the one this my dad has asked me to never sell again (the CVQ apart from Series II that is).

Master volume pots are available, but would probably only be useful in a Series I, 20th Anniversary or a 2-volume Electrum or Persuader.

Thanks for your answer Mica, well i have this 4 string Jekyll n' Hide bass that i use to do my Xperiments, i just put pieces together and have a test bass, so mainly its a jazz bass ...

I want to try some Axy's, so , i was wondering about the electronics options that i could have.

Taking advantage of this space want to ask you if the SF2 is kind of a rack version of your Series 2 electronics ? ; also i have an avalon Di, so can i conect it to the SF2 and then to the pwr amp ?
