Hi,
I just installed a set of Alembic Activators in my Fender USA Precision bass..replacing a set of 18 volt EMG's. As you may or may not know...you have to remove some wood to make room for the 9 volt battery. I did it myself, and took a few photos along the way. I'm posting this thinking it may help others who are considering this mod. As for the sound of the pickup system...it's everything I expected it to be...now my Precision bass will get played. I'm very happy with this mod.
FYI -I also installed a set of Alembic Activators in my MIJ Jazz bass...this needed no modification at all.
