Looks like Eastern Flame Maple, and there's probably a little more than checking of the finish going on near both output jacks and one of the Q switches. Typically at least one of the skirts of the remaining knobs is cracked, but what I don't understand is the marking at the end of the fingerboard. If doesn't look like a carved detail, just like a white pencil line. Any ideas on that?

Saw that too, and wondered if they had plans to scallop it out kinda' like on a Tribute guitar. (glad if someone talked them outta' that plan!)

I sent the seller questions about the cracks running long ways from the jacks and Q-switch and the marking on the fingerboard. Also asked for the scale length...

They insist these are not cracks but finish checks. The fingerboard marks are reported to be something caused by the camera flash. No reply on scale length as yet.

Personally, I'd have to have a few better pictures of those 'checks' before getting serious about this one. It could be, but they sure look like cracks typically seen in very dried out maple. Wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me if priced accordingly.

I'm just a sucker for that maple on mahogany, especially when on a vintage Alembic. It's got the same appeal as Jazzyvee's Series I shorty but in a Standard Point shape.  ::)
