Don't see these 80's 5-strings much... and with those three purpleheart laminates too.  (just like my baby)  ;D

That's an outstanding price, assuming everything is kosher with the bass.   Beautiful peice of zebrawood.

I am seeing some strange looking smudge marks around the tailpiece.  Almost looks like touched up holes from something.  Maybe it is the poor quality photo, but I would certainly ask the seller to email a close up of the area, and describe what he sees in hand.  Jimmy Johnson's old 5 string was narrow like that.  They are fast to play pizz, but a struggle to slap.

This one's gone fellas. I figured it wouldn't sit too long at south of $2k.

Like Trevor said, that Classic taper neck is a pretty exclusive thing. I absolutely love the closer spacing, and purposefully ordered my new bass with it, but then I don't/can't slap...

Somewhere on here I read that Jimmy J played one of these (I think a Spoiler 5-string) for a short while after 418 went absent.
