« on: May 16, 2016, 04:38:04 AM »
Hi Folks,

I'm selling my IN-2 for USD 700.00. The unit is in very good shape, all original, with 110V power supply. The unit is located in Florence, Italy, and I will send detailed pictures upon request.

I have two of these . One of which the encapsulated regulated supply needed to be replaced . I confirmed with Mr. Ron Wickersham to correlate specs and current draw and had Acopian replicate an encapsulated unit ( the original manufacture no longer has these available ) . The two audio transformers seen in the pics are " UTC ouncers" . ( note the shielded cans )  These sound splendid ! A nice passive DI .  The appearance of the internal wiring looks to be stock in comparison to my two units .   The encapsulated supplies  in these stock units are actually most likely from the mid to late 1970's ( not so new ) check for a date  on the encapsulated unit !

Wolf ,
         Sonic Regards.

Any idea which ouncers? I'm wondering if a different input impedance is used because of the difference of the output of a Series bass vs. a standard DI designed for a passive bass.

Edwin , Indeed, there are various "ouncers" with different winding ratios . I did not memorize the specs on these in question. When I get  some free time I can check for you .  They pop up on ebay from time to time .    I am sure that you can get LUNDAHL to make you some with the correct specifications.  I already ask a Lundahl representative that question while at an AES Convention . The answer ; send me your specs.    http://www.lundahl.se/

I should note that the Split/MULT & DI function will work for ANY passive or active Alembic or NON Alembic Bass or Guitar. Not just an Alembic Series I/II ,

Sonic Regards,

  Wolf
