If you can't see two little set screws on your knobs, you must follow these directions for removing the collet knob or you risk damaging your instrument or the potentiometers or both. First, identify the parts of the collet knob:
You will need to pry off the cap of the knob:
What the cap looks like:
Then you can loosen the collet with a large blade screwdriver or a 6mm nut driver:
The knob will slide off easily when the collet is loosened.
