A bandmate gave me a copy of the Gov't Mule movie.  My wife got me a tumbler/polisher.  The kids got me a plasma globe.  Most importantly, I got to spend time with the people I love and my good Danish friends escaped the Tsunami in Thailand by a few feet and a couple of precious seconds.  That, and plenty of Black Toad dark beer for me...

Hey All,

Yes I'm back again!!!!  I'm home for the holidays and getting ready to head back out again.  My wife and I bought a 20gig iPod for both of us, you can guess who's going to be carrying that around...not me!  We really didn't go nuts on each other because we're in the process of buying a new house.  I guess that's our present to each other too.  The kids made out though as they always do.  It's just too cool to see their faces on Christmas morning.
My friend and fellow Alembician, who also posts here under Mrfunkwool got me a cool Alembic coffee mug.
I did buy a laptop too so I can be in touch while I'm out.

Peace,
Dino

I had to post this as I suspect there are many in this club who will appreciate it.  One of the presents Santa brought for our 9 year old boy was a TV baseball game by Radica.  It hooks up to the TV and a wire runs to a plastic home plate that sits in the middle of the living room.  Another wire goes to the ball.  One player uses the ball to select pitches while the other swings a small bat over the plate at the pitcher throws on the TV screen.  For about $40 it's pretty cool.

Anyway, tonight my boy challenges me to a game.  I turn it on, select game play (as opposed to practice, home run derby, etc.) and the screen appears asking me to pick the stadium in which the game will be played.  there are four choices as follows:

1. Radica Dome  (Radica is the manufacturer)
2. Terrapin Stadium
3. Minglewood Park
4. Franklin's Field

My boy couldn't figure out why I fell over laughing.  We are everywhere!

(For those Dead impaired, the Grateful Dead have songs called Terrapin Station, New Minglewood Blues, and Franklin's Tower).

Bill, tgo

I just bought a Delphi - MyFi xm sat. radio. My buddy has been calling me everyday with the playlist on the prog channel. NYC area radio is very much less than adequate for me. (ie. sux) That along with Monty Python 14 disc dvd set and a Vampire hunter D action collectable should keep me occupied while I wait for my latest Doomtree Excel 5.

I got a rack-mount Line6 Bass Pod Pro

Bought it myself, just above half retail price, so I'm quite happy with it. Only wish they had had a XT model, particularly for the DR103 and DR200 amps + cabs.

Oh well, I'll have to save up and buy my former boss's Hiwatts.  He only uses Ashdowns these days.

My wife gave me:  Alembic Guitar Polish, Brass Cleaner, and a new set of Alembic strings for my Rogue.  In addition, she ordered a custom flight case for the Rogue (pretty surprised!!)  My oldest son gave me Bass Guitar for Dummies by Patrick Pfeiffer which is great reading material..(something I really wanted).
