I had to post this as I suspect there are many in this club who will appreciate it. One of the presents Santa brought for our 9 year old boy was a TV baseball game by Radica. It hooks up to the TV and a wire runs to a plastic home plate that sits in the middle of the living room. Another wire goes to the ball. One player uses the ball to select pitches while the other swings a small bat over the plate at the pitcher throws on the TV screen. For about $40 it's pretty cool.
Anyway, tonight my boy challenges me to a game. I turn it on, select game play (as opposed to practice, home run derby, etc.) and the screen appears asking me to pick the stadium in which the game will be played. there are four choices as follows:
1. Radica Dome (Radica is the manufacturer)
2. Terrapin Stadium
3. Minglewood Park
4. Franklin's Field
My boy couldn't figure out why I fell over laughing. We are everywhere!
(For those Dead impaired, the Grateful Dead have songs called Terrapin Station, New Minglewood Blues, and Franklin's Tower).
