SF-2 knob diagrams

For those of you fortunate enough to have an SF-2...
 
If (like me) you haven't mastered it to the point where you can instantly dial in whatever sound you want, here's something that makes it easier to keep notes on settings.
 
 
 
Inside the zip is a pdf file, which will print five sets of controls on a page in landscape mode, with a little extra space for annotations. It looks ugly on screen, but prints nicely.
 
I got tired of trying to draw little circles with arrows, write down numbers, etc. and find this a lot more convenient, so I thought I'd pass it along.
 
Note: on the Frequency control, the intermediate settings (between those which appear on the unit) are approximate. I had to do some manual curve fitting to come up with these, but they should be really close.

thanks for the design.
My SF-2 is on his way (I'm proud ...I found a second hand, can you believe it?).
I was able to open the file on my Mac by saving it first to the desktop and than first open my unzip program what was Stuffit Expander in my case. My Explorer didn't recognize the file.
It's really nice man! I think there is still a nice sound-tweaking-adventure for me in the future. Can you imagine: me humming teteteteeee-tetetei (the theme of Indiana Jones) your sheets on my lap playing bass, using my 3th hand to tweak knobs on the guitar, my 4th hand to  tweak on the SF-2 and my 5th hand to write down the settings.
Bassplayers ARE versatile!

Wow Paul, great luck for you to find a used SF-2, though I shudder to think about how desperate the other person must have been to part with it...
 
Kind of strange to think about you, Mr. One Knob, with an SF-2, though I found your post from last Sept. about wanting to compensate for room acoustics, and it can definitely help with that.
 
I hope you're getting a manual with it, and I encourage you - I know this will be hard - to sit down and patiently read through it. It's really quite helpful. If you don't get a manual, maybe I can help since I happen to have two at the moment (but we'd have to clear it with Mica first). We swapped out my unit to investigate a radio interference problem, but we're not going back to that until *after* my bass is finished.
 
BTW - I also use a Mac, but either way you need to download the zip file first and then expand it somehow.

Paul, once you get familiar with the SF-2,your biggest problem is going to be deciding which settings to use!!!! There are so many usable  tones in that unit it's truly amazing. Good Luck! and keep a clock nearby as you wiil easily loose track of time once you start tweaking and get excited with the result!   Mike
