Anyone have any info on good rack mounted tuners.I;am about to go buy one and would like to invest in a good one. if you go buy price alone the peterson suff looks good,any help from users would be great.

I have been using a Korg DT1 Pro rackmount digital tuner for more than 15 years now. So I can easily say they are very accurate and road ready :-)  
 
I have no experience with the newer Korg models DTR1000 en DTR2000, perhaps someone else has ?  
 
So, 1 vote for Korg !

Another vote for Korg here.  I use the DTR1000 and have been extremely happy with it.  Very accurate, great large display and looks good as well.  Here's a link if you want to check it out.

I personally use a Furman power conditioner with a built in tuner.  It is 2 devices in one single rack space.  It works well.

can you give me some info on the Furman? I was looking around here for a power conditioner and found cheap an AmericanAudio, good, rack-mountable with two light is front to clear the rack. About 70 ? (? = $).  
I have a Tuner (an old one) but the rack in construction is getting SO FULL. The combination you propose will give me some room. I guess the Furman is rather expensive?
Second: are you from the DR5R go to the Furman tuner and than to the pre-amp (f.e. a F1-X) or are you keeping the tuner  out of this chain?

Maybe, they don't include the tuners in the power conditoners anymore ? I really don't know.
 
PS: I use a Furman PL-PRO-E (E for European version !) without the integrated tuner.

Lists for $199 US. Also, if they did stop making them then the price will probably drop as they try to get rid of the remaining stock.

Paul - I got mine from Guitar Center in New Orleans a couple or three years ago.  I go from the DS5-R to the tuner and then to the preamp/mains.  This way i can tune discreetly by pressing the mute button and no one can hear the tuning.  Quite nice.  I highly recommend this tuner.  Works great even with a low B tuning.

So Matt, I went to the site you showed but unfortunately it's not an E (European power). I'm an electronical neanderthaler so I really don't have the faintest clue if there are changements to make to change the model.
I'm stuck!

I know that we (in Europe) must be sure to order the E versions of the Furman products. For instance the 220V PL-PLUS-E instead of the 120V PL-PLUS. If you order any Furman device in Europe, you won't be able to order anything else than a E version. I don't know if those Power Conditioners with integrated tuners were ever distributed in Europe. I never saw one.  
 
On the otherhand, I also considered that integrated piece instead of the 2 units I have now. Afterwards, I am glad that I chose the Korg unit. I think it's far more accurate, and the display is more detailled. I can understand that you want to save space in your rack. What you also might consider is to mount some 19 stuff like a powerconditonner in the back of your rack. That is still an option I have if it becomes to crowded in the front.
 
PS: http://www.musicstorekoeln.de/ have some real sharp prices if you contact them online. That's the place where I ordered already a lot of amp and rack gear. They also sell Furman stuff.

Think with me my friend.
My (future) rack that I'm slowly building up now will have: a DS5-R, a F1-x. a SF-2, a QSC 1602 (2 units), that leaves me space for 1 unit in the practical 6 unit rackmount. Wouldn't it be great to have the Powerconditioner (with the lights) and a tuner in one?
I need those lights in front because my eyes are going badly (true) and in the bad-bar-lighting circumstances (we do most that kind of stuff) it already happened that I was unable to see my settings properly.
I have the KORG D1 Pro (an old one) and he works good. Apart from the fact that you can only plug an instrument in from the front. The set-up Michael discribes by patching the signal through doesn't work anymore and because I'm an electronical-neanderthaler ...well ....you know!

You have to hurry to the site Matt gave us. There is still a Furman Power conditioner/tuner for sale. The Furman company was very formal: the product is NOT continued!
